Firm Overview

Our lawyer's office was founded in 1981 by the attorney at law, Dr. Markus Freund. Since the beginning, main focuses of the activity field of the office also form the consultation of enterprises and individuals in the areas of the commercial law, insolvency rights, society rights and law of contract. Beyond it, further main focuses have developed in the course of the years, as for example labour legislation, consumer's protection, separation and maintenance right, criminal law and, on account of the frequent amendments the more and more complicated rent right and residential right.

Today internationally oriented thinking is also essential in the lawyer's occupation. Since 1996 our office is organized, with a still growing number of lawyer's colleagues from different European countries, in the Legal Service Network, an EWIV (European Economic Interest Union) with the seat in Brussels. This allows a even more efficient and more quick legal penetration with legal issues with foreign relation. The economic and personal contacts with the neighbouring country Italy are especially significant, which originated during the post-graduate study of the political sciences in the Johns-Hopkins-University in Bologna by the senior partner Dr. Markus Freund. Dr. Markus Freund constantly looks after Italian clients and is since 1998 a trust lawyer of the Italian embassy in Vienna. 

In 2001 a partnership with the attorney MS. Andreas Kleiber was founded and since that time there exists the Society Freund & Kleiber.
